David Gordon is a Los Angeles-based artist working in painting, photography and interactive multimedia. His first solo exhibit, Reconfigured Architecture, was held at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center in 2014. Recently, David has increasingly incorporated software into his creative process, from mixed media performances and interactive installations to virtual reality experiences. His current work includes a collaboration with artist Ethan Turpin and Dr. Naomi Tague on the interactive installation Future Mountain: An Interactive Fire, Water and Climate Model.

Education

David earned his B.A. in Art from Pomona College (2004), where he studied with Enrique Martinez Celaya and Mercedes Teixido. In 2017, he graduated from UC Santa Barbara with joint Media, Arts and Technology (M.S.) and Music Composition (Ph.D) degrees, where his teachers included Clarence Barlow, Curtis Roads and Marcos Novak. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
